Shlichus
Rabbi Shmuly Rothman has been on Shlichus since 2000. Using his gained experiences, he has a passion for helping Shluchim get it right the first time, simplify the seemingly complicated, and work smarter, not harder.
Shmuly takes his leadership training and runs it through a funnel to provide a product that is in sync with the needs, beliefs and comfort zones of Shluchim living and demonstrating a Chasidishe lifestyle.
“I would never go to a professional for this. I would spend too much time thinking that he doesn’t know me or the way my organization runs. You’re one of us, you speak our language, you know the ins and outs, and I’m very comfortable learning from you.” – Anonymous
Shmuly was part of a unique support program specifically for bochurim shluchim in the Lubavitch Mesivta Network. His bi-weekly coaching calls equipped these youths with the learning, skills and techniques needed to reach their students more effectively. This invaluable coaching resource empowered these interns to excel in their positions and cultivate a better working environment with their respective hanhalos.
Shmuly spent six years on Shlichus in Toledo, OH. Since 2006, he’s been a Shliach in Pittsburgh, PA. Shmuly has been in the employee and employer role on Shlichus. He guides employers through the process of setting their employees up for success and longevity in their position (managing down). Shmuly coaches employees in understanding the nature of their working relationship, and equips them with the skills to make the most of their relationship with their employer (managing up).
Shmuly has presented his methodologies on numerous occasions at the International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Shluchim, including a co-presentation with his own coach, Tom Heck, as well as with Pat Richie of The Table Group.
He has also presented leadership training to Lubavitch girls’ high schools, camp directors and camp head staff.
